Red Porcelain Ring with Carved Coral Motif

$52.00

This contemporary ring reinterprets the tradition of signet rings through the lens of modern ceramics, with a design that recalls both ancient seals and oceanic coral formations.

The piece is hand-sculpted from white Limoges porcelain, featuring an intricate carved surface pattern set against a deep red underglaze background. The sculptural contrast between the textured white surface and the rich red base creates a visual dialogue between positive and negative space.

The creation process involves two firing cycles. The red underglaze is meticulously applied before the porcelain undergoes its final vitrification at cone 10 (2,350°F/1,288°C), transforming into a durable, non-porous material while preserving the delicate details of the carved pattern.

  • Each ring is handcrafted and unique, making it essential to find your perfect fit. Use a ring you already wear comfortably or measure your finger with a strip of paper, marking where it overlaps. Measure this length in millimeters and compare it to this size chart:

    Size 6 -51.9mm, Size 7 -54.4mm , Size 7.5 -55.7mm, Size 7 ¾ -56.3mm, Size 8 -57mm Size 8.5 -58.3mm, Size 9 -59.5mm, Size 9.5 -60.8mm

For the most accurate measurement, size your finger in the evening and avoid measuring when your hands are cold.

  • Your porcelain ring is crafted to be both beautiful and durable, but a few simple practices will help preserve its unique character:

Remove your ring before swimming or applying lotions. When needed, clean gently with mild soap and warm water, drying thoroughly with a soft cloth. Store separately from other jewelry to maintain its pristine condition. While porcelain is remarkably strong, avoid impact with hard surfaces.

For pieces featuring precious metal elements, such as gold luster or silver, take extra care to prevent scratching of these delicate surfaces.
